Korean is not an easy language as many of you know, even real Koreans have a hard time to write in their own language~ Take it slow and don't push yourself ^^ try to learn one new word per day so you can build your vocabulary~ ^^

NOW, lesson 5~

The letter ㅎ is a bit tricky, when its place between two 'vowels, ㅁ,ㄴ,ㅇ or ㄹ'
ㅎ tends to be silent in casual speech.

For example~

So next time you see the ㅎ in a word, it might be silent, so dont pronounce it ^^

Here's a little video to explain it abit better ~~ ^___________^

Lesson 4 - How to read and pronounce a korean sentence properly

Hey guys, im back with Lesson 4 ^^ In this lesson, ill teach you how Koreans pronounce their sentences~ this is important especially if you want to sound like a korean~~ ^_______________^

Have you guys heard koreans saying "isseryo~~" or "obseryo~~" they say it all the time ^^
'is ser yo' means "i have" "exist" "do you have it" etc
'ob ser yo' means "dont have" "doesnt exist" "theres none" etc
Theres no direct translation in english for these two, but you get what i mean ^^

Now, 'is ser yo', how to you think its spelt in korean? you would think 이써요 right? wrong~! its actually spelt 있어요. confused? Here's why

When Koreans are speaking, they like to make everything flow off their tongues, to make  있  어  요 flow, if they see a ㅇ, they will replace it with the last consonant that was just before it.

So in 있어요  the last consonant just before ㅇ is ㅆ. Therefore ㅆ will replace ㅇ when pronouncing to become 이써요

Heres a video just incase it doesnt make sense ^^

Here's another example

Music:
Write = 음악
Pronounce = 으막

[VIDEO] How to pronounce the vowels

Here's a video of myself pronouncing the vowels~~ (ps, i hate my voice ><)
I hope this helps abit ~^^

Random Korean word of the day

Polite = 행복해요 (haeng bok hae yo)
Talking to your self (monologue) = 행복하다 (haeng bok ha da)**

**This is means your just thinking out loud and not talking to anyone in particular. Example, i can be walking by myself and im like "ah.. im happy"

Useful words to use when tweeting to your Idol~

Here's some random useful words/phrases you can use when tweeting to your boyfriend who lives in korea *cough cough* haha ^_____________^

1. Good morning: Korean 좋은 아침 (joeun achim) OR you can use the konglish way and write 굿모닝 (good morning)
Koreans don't say 'good morning' to each other, they usually say hello or have you eaten? But because the western countries keep saying 'good morning' to them, the word 좋은 아침 was created. 좋은 = good 아침 = morning

2. Have a nice day 좋은 하루 보내세요 (joeun haru bo nae se yo) OR 좋은 하루 되세요 (joeun haru doi se yo)
To say it in a cute version = 좋은 하루 보내세용 or 좋은 하루 보내세염

3. Goodnight (Konglish way) 굿나잇 (good night)

4. Get well soon (I hope you get some rest and get well soon좀 쉬시고  빨리 회복하시길 바래요 (jom sui si go bballi hoibokhasigil baraeyo)

Common words Idols use when tweeting - Part 4

1. When do you say '화이팅'? (Fighting)
Everyone that speaks Korean or is interested in the Korean culture would have used the word 'fighting' once before~ ^^
It just means "Let's keep up the good work" or "Cheer up' "You can do it". Its kind of like the Korean version of "Let's go!!" (There's no direct translation available)
Sometimes Idols use other forms of '화이팅' such as '파이팅'   '빠이팅'   '퐈이팅'   '홧팅'  They are like the cute version of the actual word.

2. Music 음악 (eum mak)

3. Song 노래 (no rae)

Random Korean word of the day

Hungry
Casual = 배고파 (bae go pa)
Polite = 배고파요 (bae go pa yo)

When your using google translator to tweet to you idol

I've noticed alot of people tend to use google translator to tweet to their idols, if i can tell its from a translator, your idol can probably tell aswell... To make it sound more like you're writing it (and not a translator), when you see the word 당신은 you should replace it with 오빠

당신은 (dang shin neun) is a very polite word for 'you' and it doesn't really go well with your sentence. for example, i could use google translator and say ' i love you' and it would come out as  'Dang shin neun saranghae yo" which sounds like your saying i love you to your uncle or something.

But if you replace 당신은 with 오빠 (oppa), it would be 'oppa, saranghae' (now doesnt that sound more friendlier and close?)

Common words Idols use when tweeting - Part 3

More common words used by idols when they tweet~~ enjoy ^________________^

1. Practice/rehearsal = 연습 (yeon seum) (Idols always use this word because they're always practising ><)

2. Finished = 끝 (ggeut) - Idols tend to use this word alot (example, we just finished practise, we just finished recording music bank etc) So atleast next time you see 끝 you know that they just finished doing something ^^

3. Everyone = 여러분 (yer ler boon)

Another short lesson today ~~ enjoy ^^
